Conditions to Use the Digital Automotive Website
To use any of the services or products provided by the Digital Automotive website, you must agree to the conditions of this Terms of Service (TOS) Agreement. If you do not agree with the conditions outlined in this TOS Agreement, do not register with the DLP website or use any services or products of the DLP website.
The DLP website reserves the right to modify this document, as needed, at any point in the future. The current, and prevailing, TOS Agreement can be reviewed at any time from the “About Us” menu on the DLP website. It is your responsibility to review this document, on a regular basis, to be aware of any changes made to the TOS Agreement.
The Digital Automotive website supports and promotes the use of digital technology within the automotive service industry (technicians, students, and instructors). Some of the information and resources of the website are offered at no cost; however, the Digital Automotive website does offer some training/information products and services for a fee.
When e-commerce is conducted on the Digital Automotive website, the transaction is handled and processed by Stripe. Credit or debit card information collected on the Digital Automotive website is protected using secure sockets layer (SSL) technology; however, at no point does the Digital Automotive website have access to a user’s credit card or banking information. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available. Private Information & Administration eMail
For a user to register with the Digital Automotive website, the only personal information required is a first name, last name. user name, password, and a valid email address. This information is kept private and will not be given or sold to any outside organization. When a user registers with the Digital Automotive website, their email address is added to the Digital Automotive administrative mailing list by default. The Digital Automotive Administrator will email out no more than one mailing per month to inform registered users of additional site features and site news. Users may opt-out of any administrative mailings from a link provided at the bottom of each email.
Multiple Registrations Not Allowed
Each registered user must have a unique email address (Digital Automotive website users cannot share an email address) and a user may only register with Digital Automotive one time. When a user registers with a site more than once, it is typically an attempt to present themselves to the registration system as a new user to take advantage of trial offers or to circumvent being banned by the site administrator.
The premium content available on the Digital Automotive website (such as publications, online courses, memberships, etc) is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce or resale any of this material in any way without the written consent of the Digital Automotive Administrator.
User Contributed Content
Website users can post information in certain area of the Digital Automotive website (mainly in comments to postings). User contributed content must adhere to the following guidelines:
- The content is not spam
- The content is not protected by a copyright.
- The content does not contain unethical or unwanted commercial content designed to drive traffic to third party sites or to boost the search engine rankings of third party sites
- The content is not pornographic
- The content does not contain threats or incite violence, and does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of others
Users may not promote themselves, or their products, on the DLP website without express written consent of the Digital Automotive Administrator. Also, a reference to a specific commercial product, or service within the Digital Automotive website, does not constitute or imply its’ endorsement and/or recommendation by the Digital Automotive website.
Limits of Liability
All the information made available on the Digital Automotive website is presented “as is” and you agree that you use this information at your own risk. As a condition of this TOS Agreement, you agree that you will not hold Digital Automotive website or DLP Publishing (or any of its officers, owners, or investors) liable for any consequences you incur from using any information or services provided by the Digital Automotive website.
You agree that the Digital Automotive Administrator, at his sole discretion, may change your status from “Registered” to “Guest” or even ban you from the Digital Automotive website, for any reason, including the belief that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the conditions of the TOS Agreement.
